Airport cache
« on: June 20, 2014, 05:53:38 am »
More often than not when I fire up FSX at the top of the screen in a thin ribbon , I get a message that reads; GSX Regenerating Airport Cache ( then showing the % as it slowly downloads )It asks not to do anything until it's done. Is this normal ?

You must change your scenery library pretty often. :P

Anyhow, yes, it's normal.  GSX should do that any time the scenery library is modified.

This might also happen if you use an add-on product that changes the Scenery Library, like a scenery.cfg manager, or some of the ATC products that creates AFCADs on the fly.

But, it might also happen if you have a corrupted .BGL somewhere. If you enable logging in the Troubleshooting section of the GSX Settings menu, and have a look at the Couatl.LOG file that will be produced, it will tell you if corrupted .BGLs were found.
