Problem with ADDON MANAGER download

I received a message that a major update was required, so after downloading the ADDON MANAGER, it failed with the response...

"An error ocurred whilst trying to replace an existing file"
Delete File Failed : Code 5
Access Denied.

Could you please advise what may be the problem.

Delete File Failed : Code 5
Access Denied.

That error message has been discussed many times on the forum, and it's caused by trying to run the installer with FSX is still running. OR, because you launched it too quickly after closing FSX, before it had time to close all opened files and shut down all running processes.

A Windows restart will surely fix it.
