FSX not recognizing Trackir 4 Pro

Hello everyone;  I'm new here and have tried everything I know to get Trackir 4 Pro with Proclip to work with FSX. Called TIR techs and searched web so, I thought I'd come to those who are using it.

I'm running Microsoft Vista [probably first problem}, with Service pack 2.
Trackir 5.1

The trackir works in it's setup and overides some F key functions in FSX, but does not track in FSX.

If anyone can give me some ideas on a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
PS. I'm a computer illiteriate and answers will have to be put simply.

The most likely issue, is that you might have problems with the Simconnect installation, which is required by the TIR software to work with FSX. Try the option to "Repair" the FSX installation or the FSX SP2 installation.

Thank you for the help.  I reinstalled SP2 and all is well.
